The saddle is stamped \"Blaze\" 1961 Mattel Inc. Hawthorne California, Made in the U.S.A. Patent Pending.Blaze is a great vintage rocking horse. Anyone who had Blaze as a child, has very fond memories of him and most are looking for one for their kids or grandkids. This Blaze looks very good. Super clean. His legs make a galloping motion as a child is riding and when the horse rocks back and forth. It really is amazing how the legs move! Fascinating to kids. His base was marketed by Mattel as being \"tip proof\". That is a big thing when a little one gets carried away jumping on the horse.*** I don\'t know if that actually works, that is just what the ads said when he was new. He has the original reins. He does have a working pull string that when pulled and released makes him whinny (most of these no longer have this string, as it was pulled off by kids playing). He has some minor cosmetic issues, a few scratches in the paint, fading and wear. Most noticeable is the rust on the frame.Approximate Measurements: 48\" long x 27\" Wide x 41\" Tall The horse itself measures approx. 32\" Long x 19\" Wide x 28\" Tall.This piece is Great Retro Decor... and although perfectly functional, I doubt it would pass safety standards for play with any kids... as I can only imagine all the moving parts squishing a finger.
