About Brian Forrest
Brian Forrest is a well-known California blademaster with more than 40 years’ experience and a sterling reputation for pleasing his large base loyal customers. Brian specializes in red-forging and pounding red-hot n metal, grinding, shaping and creating his knives the old-fashioned way—his most distinctive trademark. He constantly develops new shapes and sizes of knives, tomahawks and peace pipes.
Brian uses recycled materials such as used farrier’s rasps, metal files, salvaged hardwood and even forges his own Damascus from nickel and steel, as well as silver and copper.
Brian is active in several knifemaking associations and joys teaching new makers in the art of stock removal and metal working.
Godoy Luxe’s New Collector’s Package
To protect your valuable edged weapon, Godoy Luxe has developed the ideal edged weapon conservation package that gives you everything required to protect your valuable acquisition from rust and corrosion for decades to come.
First, we treat the dagger with the same protective substance used to protect precious museum artifacts. This substance is superior to oil as a protectant because oil attracts dirt and corrosion to metal. Second, we wrap the knife in proprietary metal-protective paper—comparable to the famous blue paper used by Randall Made Knives to protect their knives This paper retards rust, corrosion, pitting, and verdigris accumulation. Third, your knife is placed in a zippered bag with additional moisture and corrosion retardants. Finally, the knife goes into a zippered, protective storage bag.
When you are through enjoying and using your dagger in your chosen pursuits, just wipe the blade and handle dry, wrap it in the protective paper, and put it back in the plastic bag and storage case. You can be assured your edged instrument will be fully protected for future generations.
