This is a very rare brooks saddle with flat rails from the early 30\'s. Very few to be found, I would speculate due to it\'s age and low manufacturing numbers since it is a racing saddle.The flat rail design is to keep the weight down. It currently weighs 550g.Origin: it comes from a cache of old racing parts found at the family\'s summer home, all dating back to the 30\'s.Learn more about the saddle.Restoration process: in order to put this out for sale I needed to remove dirt and blemishes to reveal all issues. The process consist only of using proofide on the leather and working it in, only one layer on each side was needed. All the metal parts has been cleaned with autosol and a polishing cloth. Some metal parts underneath the saddle have intentionally been uncleaned chemically because I didn\'t want to risk ruining the surrounding leather and also because I couldn\'t reach some areas.Condition: The leather have a lot of wear in the back and front, though the pictures make them look worse. Also some cracks on the surface of the saddle. On the back bracket of the saddle there is a crack, by one if the screws, see picture.
