Brown & Sharpe 615 No. 10 Depth Gauge Square 6\" Rule Rare Vintage USA Nice Bert Selling off my Father-In-Laws 1942 Machinist Tool Box and the contents therein. Mostly Starrett, Brown & Sharpe, Goodell Pratt, and Slocum. Some of these tools were passed down from HIS FATHER and are as old as the late 1800\'s. His name was Bert, which you may see engraved on a few of the tools from the box, but not all. All tools were well kept and cared for.
This sale is For -1 -Vintage Brown & Sharpe Depth Gauge Square w/ Tempered No. 10 Steel 6\" RuleCondition is nearly pristine. 100% mechanically operable and accurate. Made in the USA with the high quality steel that you can just feel. The tempered steel rule indicates in 32nds on one side and , and 64ths on the other. As a very old tool, there is virtually no oxidation. The patina on the blade is very very light.. There is absolutely no pitting. There are NO etchings or initials. A very nice and rare piece.
Also note that the steel rule can be removed and replaced with any round rod with a dimension of 2mm, like a hanger. The back side of the screw clamp when turned 90 degrees has a 2mm hole to accept the rod, and a groove is also pre-machined to center it up. Any length desired can be utilized for depth.
