Hi there, here is my new bte designs type one mk2 passive preamp.My preamps are completely customizable to your spec, including different woods for the fascias, different colours for the extruded aluminium body, however many inputs or outputs you specify, different control knobs or internal wiring. And pretty much whatever potentiometer you want me to use ( if i can source it!)The pictured unit is a \'type one mark 2\' unit and is a standard spec, this has a 10k pot, 2 inputs and 1 set of outputs, standard copper internal wiring, Walnut fascias and satin black extruded aluminium body.
The 10k pot value is in there to make it a good match to pretty much any type of power amplifier, be it valve, transistor or T-amp.
The value can be changed to whatever is preferred by you, or what will work optimally with your amp at no extra cost.

I can also do things such as balance controls and tape loops if these are required, and can add a balanced output to the units and different inputs/output types such as 3.5mm jacks.Up to 16 sockets to be used in any combination of inputs and outputs can be fitted to the mk 2 version without altering the case dimensions, making the mk 2 more versatile and more customizable than the mk 1.The dimensions of the mk 2 are 100mm x 100mm x 132mm deep.The orientation of the controls can also be changed as the frontal aspect is now square, you can have the controls stacked vertically as in the pictures, along the horizontal axis, or diagonally.Up to 4 control knobs can also be accommodated without altering the dimensions, so as an example, you could have a pair of mono pots and the selector switch arranged in a triangle on the front if you liked
The change to an aluminium extrusion means that the mk 2 can be built more quickly and more accurately, reducing delivery times for custom ordersUpgrades and changes available
