Burnside Warrior by Guild 1980\'s Fender Gibson Hamer with case USA vintage VHTF:
$314.99

Up for sale is an extremely rare and hard to find Burnside Warrior by Guild electric guitar. From what little information that I could find on the Internet, I read that these were made for only a year or so starting in 1987 and were a product from a collaboration between Guild and Fender (Fender owns Guild these days, I believe). I\'m not sure if this info is correct since the same person said these were made in Korea or Taiwan, but mine has \"USA\" stamped into the upper back under the neck joint. I also read a statement from an owner that bought one new in 1987 that paid $750 for it. Judging by the way this plays and sounds, that seems like a correct statement. This plays much like a Gibson in my opinion, with it\'s solid set neck construction. The pickups are hot and beefy sounding. The action is nice and low and it plays like butter (like my Gibson Les Paul). This has really cool sorta boomerang shaped pearloid inlays that remind me of a Hamer. There is some really cool and striking red edged multi-ply binding on the top of the body and neck. The Fretboard is rosewood. I\'m not sure what kind of wood the body and neck are made from, but it\'s a hefty guitar, so my guess would be mahogany. The tuners function great and the frets have plenty of life left. The tremolo system reminds me of a Kahler. It is missing a whammy/tremolo bar/arm the string lock pieces at the nut, and possibly a string tree(judging by a couple holes above the nut. The pickup ring may be a replacement since it isn\'t a total match to the bridge ring. It is also cracked on the bottom, which doesn\'t affect sound or playability. The pickup selector switch is missing the screw-on tip, which is a very simple replacement. I\'m not sure if the tone and volume knobs are original. Also, one of the backs of the tuner is pushed in, which doesn\'t affect functionality. The tone and volume pots may need some work to get them to function properly. The guitar puts out sound like it\'s at full volume, but the volume doesn\'t fully cut off when turned down. All these minor issues are easy fixes or replacements. The guitar can be played as it is just fine if these issues don\'t bother you. There are the typical dings, scratches, and light buckle wear, but nothing major. There is a spot on the top edge of the headstock (above the high E string) where a chip had been repaired with some putty and paint. See all photos provided for details. This guitar will be shipped with strings loosened in its hard case with plenty of padding and tape keeping it securely shut. All in all, this is a crazy rare unique 1980\'s rock guitar. It\'s of high quality and it\'s safe to say that you\'ll have a very difficult time finding another one. This is definitely one of those instances where if you manage to actually find one, you should get it, because you probably won\'t get another chance. Not to mention that this plays and sounds great! A true rare find and gem. It also comes with a hard case too!-Comes from the smoke-free, dog-free, child-free home of a serious collector and musician.-I take pride in fast and safe shipping and handling.-Check out my many rare and vintage guitars for sale. All my items are sold \"as is\".
