This sale is for thePolice Man & Happy Hooligan Cast Iron Figures For The Kenton Police Patrol Wagonfrom the 1910 Kenton police patrol wagon. One figure depicts a policeman & the other figure depicts Happy Hooligan. The figures would originally have stood in the Happy Hooligan police patrol horse drawn toy animated wagon made by Kenton.

When the wagon was pulled across the floor the policeman\'s arm with the club would have moved up & down as if hitting Happy Hooligan who would have been standing next to the policeman. In this listing we are offering BOTH THE POLICEMAN & THE HAPPY HOOLIGAN figures from the toy. The policeman figure stands 4 9/16 inches tall by 1 7/8 inches wide. The Happy Hooligan figure stands 3 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inch wide. The paint is heavily worn & there is some light rust on both figures. But, some of the original paint remains on both figures & this is intermingled with rich dark aged patina to the iron.

The policeman figure is complete & intact as shown. There would have never been a peg under the feet. The figure would have bolted flush in to the toy with a screw & a nut & without a peg. The back of his right leg is guaranteed complete as issued as there was never a lower back leg when made on the back of the policeman. This is entirely as Kenton intended & the policeman is absolutely complete as shown. The Happy Hooligan figure is also complete as shown & as issued.

There are no cracks, no chips, & no repairs. The figures are a match as to condition & it is obvious that they originally came out of the exact same example of the toy. Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value.
