IT HAS BEEN IN MY COLLECTION FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
This 144 year old cast iron Cap Gun named \"STEPHEN\'S PAT\" is in \"C9\" condition with absolutely no cracks, chipping, repairs or modifications. The main spring is tight, the hammer and trigger works well. The wonderful surface patina reflects great care over the years.
90% Remaining traces of original japanning still exists.
This cap gun is a fine example of an American Heritage child\'s cast iron toy and was manufactured just eight years after the end of the Civil War in America. It would make an interesting conversation piece framed and hung on the wall as decorative historical art.
