A great opportunity to add a classicDEITZ VESTArailroad lantern to your collection...if you seek mint, this is not for you... This was not on the shelf, but saw service on the train...the desirable lantern was part of the legendaryNEW JERSEY CENTRAL, THE BIG LITTLE RAILROAD! C.R.R.OF N.J. isnicely embossed in bold letters on the rim...DEITZVESTANEW YORK U.S.A. is embossed on the dome...it has a CLEAR, CORNING MARKED GLOBE, unmarked to the railroad...it is in great shape!...This is NICE EXAMPLE. It could use a cleaning from some dust and surface rust, but I choose to leave it in that AS FOUND condition...this came from an estate so I am sure was never really in the collectors circuit...just as it was stored in the attic years ago!...The TWIST OFF POT is easily removed,and has the wick adjuster spinning freely.
