This Shell Fragment was purchased by me at a little known civil war museum here in NC where I live. I have had it for some years and it is exactly as I purchased it. Box and All. I offer it here for the collector and appreciator of such things. It measures approximately 3 and 3/4\" by 2 and 3/8\". It is well weathered and the story I was told by the museum curator was that is was found in a woman\'s garden in the 1980\'s as she was turning soil to plant her flowers along the side of her home.
