Nice condition brass underplug for a Bormann time fused shell recovered in the Spanish Fort / Fort Blakely, AL area. Has good threads. This one is larger than most at 1.08" diameter. Brass Bormann underplugs were nearly always CS and the iron ones US. We run a forum on Civil War projectiles and a commercial website supports it.
