It has indicator lights, the iron heats up fast. It has heat settings from 1 to 5. You can make the iron hotter if you desire to, makes cookies faster. The bottom of the cookie maker is marked Model#WMPZ2/WM-PZ2C. 12V 1000W. E. Windsor, NJ. Also marked #90103. This iron closes very tight so that the Pizzelles will be very thin. Pizzelles are perfect for Chrismas baking, they make great gifts for the neighbors, mine just love them.
