This sale is for a Digital Microwave Corporation 10GHz protected (dual) RF deck. This unit handles TX IF, RCV IF, and power (48V) through a female type-N connector on the back of the unit (one for each side). The 10GHz signals pass through a WR90 waveguide flange on the back of the unit. This unit has a TX/RCV isolator with bandpass filters for both transmit and receive. There are two receive down-converters, and two +20dBm upconverter blocks (below the receive block). There are also two synthesized local oscillator that are currently believed to be on 10.92875 GHz. There are switches for changing the frequency, we have not investigated the step size or frequency range. The receive IF is 70MHz, and we think the transmit IF is 310MHz. There is also power supply, and a 2-way RF splitter for the receive signal and an SMA microwave relay for switching between the two transmit chains. The entire unit is housed in a 12U (21\") high rack-mount box, and weighs about 38 pounds.
This unit has real potential for the amateur 10GHz band. The local oscillator may be able to get to the ham desirable 10.224GHz directly, or worst case the reference could be tweaked to get it there. The receive block is dual conversion, so providing a mixer from the 1st IF (that is brought out to an SMA connector) to 2 meters would probably work. The bandpass filters associated with the feed can be easily retuned.
