This adorable golden antique Steiff teddy was a childhood gift for my Godmother (Ruthie), so I can assure you that it was around 1918 (give or take a couple years) that it was purchased for her. She told me that it would be valuable one day if I hung onto it, and that it was a Steiff from Germany but the button was removed from his ear when she was a child as her mother did not think it safe or attractive.

He is fully jointed and a Camillo style with the hunch back, center seamand button eyes (not glass). He is about 15 inches long and is a fuzzy golden mohair.

He is in wonderful condition considering he is nearly 100 years old!
