Frank Eicholtz was the man who first came up with the ideaof backing a bow with fiberglass. Ihave an unfinished bow he made in the40s that shows he was on the forefront of some other innovations that becamepart of most bows that have been made since(that bow was NOT glass backed, bythe way.) This is one of his later bows, likely from the late sixties. RH,58”, 65#, with tip wedges and tight static recurves! Riser materials appear to be maple andshedua. Stabilizer bushing.
Very fine condition….near mint. Finishis bright and beautiful overall. Noholes, twists, stress, cracks, gouges, or other serious damage. Two small scratches in the same area on theback of the bow near the top of the window.Slight scuffing on one side of the lower tip, but the finish on the tipsis not worn or scratched.
I shot it when I got it about 20 years ago, but it’s beyondmy capability now. I believe it istotally shootable now and a very interesting design by one of the pioneers ofthe current bowyers’ art. But, I have acouple more and this one is too much for me!
