1.Action: Our philosophy on guitar action: Many different players likemany different types of action on a guitar. From ultra low action for thelight-handed, deft touch, to higher action and heavier gauge strings for theblues player who is really pulling on those strings, different tastes abound. We use light gaugeD’Addario XL strings (no Chinese cheapies on it when you get it), which arereally nice, and really consistent. 2.Sound: When it comes to Tele* and Strat*-type guitars, we much preferthe sound to be authentic. Hence, traditional pickups are the way we go for us. To besure, there is no limit to the sounds and tones achievable with pickups asexpensive as the guitar. However, what are we shooting for here? Traditional Tele* and Strat* sound aswell as look. Though we can make you a guitar with any pickups on earth thatyou may choose, our standard stuff will likely always have traditional pickups.To put it into perspective, we source pickups that are a step or two above therun-of-the-mill low-priced import. On some, we employ blade pickups, tending tohave more raw output. Also, they just plain look cool on certain guitar bodies.

3.Aesthetics: We’re a very small company. We don’t have the kinds of resourcesthe big guys have in the way of finishing and other processes that make for anabsolutelyperfect guitar aesthetically. Unlike you, we ain’tperfect. Most Les Brers Guitars are rustic, and by nature are imperfect, andothers are well finished, but with slight imperfections and minor test run wearas well.
