This RailRoad Collectible lantern is metal with black paint; it has a carrying handle ontop and one in the back. This is a Cold Blast Lantern with Red Vesta globe and fueltank for oil with a cap. The piece is stampedErie, Dietz Ideal New York USA, Ideal Inspection lamp which dates this one from1915-1940.
This is agreat piece to add to any railroad memorabilia collection many of the larger Acmepieces are found today and less of the smaller brighter Ideal pieces. This is perfectlantern to add that antique charm and mystery to the mantel, a shelf or windowsill at your home on the lake, Cape Cod or log cabin in the woods.

Condition:Good for the age, has a dent on the front, the metal has wear and the paint is mainlyworn, the fuel tank is clean. We havenot touched this piece up have left it original to sell to a collector. It is untested,so do not know if it is working.
