A exceptionally lovely floral paperweight made by noted artist A. Thura Erickson. Mr. Erickson made wonderful detailed buttons for collectors during the latter half of the 1940\'s through 1960. He died in 1963. His buttons are highly sought after. This one is one of the most beautiful of his I have seen. Due in the most part to the use of a matte black base or set-up. This button is a highly detailed pale pink multi-petal flower with four green leaves and interspersed goldstone or aventurine panels. It glows against the black background! It is slightly smaller than many of Erickson\'s buttons. It measures just a nudge under 1/2 inch in diameter and the dome is only 6/16ths inch high high excluding the shank. Most/many of his buttons are slightly in excess of 1/2 inch and the domes often rise to 1/2 inch or more. It has his typical iron wire loop shank that does attract a magnet.
