This item is untested. (I do not own a Gramophone). I have no expertise in this area. My description is based on my visual inspection only. I have reported all and any defects I can see.
It appears to be in good condition. Some usage marks to the exterior metal and a very small amounts of surface corrosion at the end of the throat and on the needle/stylus mount.. This corrosion could easily be cleaned but I have left the item as it is. The chrome (or nickel?) plate is damaged in a few small areas. I do not think any of the above will affect usage.
The diaphragm has many light scratches on it but has no cracks, splits or punctures.
The knurled screw which secures the needle turns freely.
The stylus bracket and the main label are both marked with an Anchor trade mark. Signifying Thorens. The label is also marked \"Made in Switzerland\". The throat pedestal is also marked \"Swiss Make\".
It comes with a box which may be original. It fits the soundbox well but has no labelling. It has no splits or repairs but is scuffed especially to edges and corners.
Approximate dimensions . The diaphragm chamber is 6.5cm (2.5\") in diameter. 11mm (0.4\") deep. The throat bracket is 38mm (1.5\") in diameter and stands 11 mm (0.4\") proud of the chamber. Throat is 11mm (0.4\") proud of the pedestal. The external diameter of the throat is 18mm (0.7\"). The total depth of the soundbox is 3.3 cm (1.3\").
The soundbox weighs 157 grammes (5.5 ounces).
NB. THERE IS NO NEEDLE/STYLUS.
