Description:
A NICE EAR;Y 19TH CENTURY FOOTSTOOL WITH BOOT-JACK LEGS AND SCALLOPED SIDES. The original square nails are still in place. New England, circa 1800-1820 all in native white pine WITH A WONDERFUL ORIGINAL THIN RED WASH AND VARNISHED SURFACE.
Great form with a molded rectangular one board top which is attached to the apron with its original square head nails. IT HAS A VERY FINE SCALLOPED SIDE CUT OUT AND ATTACHED APRONS.
IT STILL RETAINS A NICE OLD 19TH CENTURY RED WASH PAINT WITH AN OLD WORN VARNISH. GREAT PATINA.
The CONDITION is VERY GOOD. Typical wear and tear that comes with a piece of this age and one center drop missing from backside apron. Please see photos for more details.
