Fine investment quality antique American Eastlake cylinder desk secretary bookcase circa 1870, the cabinet made of the finest figured solid walnut and is in two pieces the bookcase and desk below, to the top is an ornate crown with incised carved panels and a turned finial to the center. The bookcase has a pair of doors each with a spindled gallery, enclosed are several adjustable bookshelves, to the base is a cylinder desk which is also carved as are the drawers & cupboard below. The desk has a fitted interior with leather writing surface, the desk/bookcase has all the original brass hardware, the desk is in excellent condition & has a great color with beautiful patina, size is98\" tallx 37\"wide x 22.5\" deep x 30\" deep when writing surface is pulled out.
