(A GREAT 260 TO REBUILD)This is a 260 short block and oil pan that has a number of car csx2019,stamped in front.(19TH Cobra ever made ) a movie car from \"Viva Las Vegas\" and lator was converted into the factory Drag Racing cobra.\" The block is stamped on the front under the left head (as shown in pictures) I bought this engine from a guy who lives in Burlington WI and has lived there for most of his life. He bought it and a 427 HM from another guy who was moving at from burlington WI (in the early 1980\'s) and was selling off some stuff. one being the 427 HM out of a boat he owned and this motor. said he bought from shelby in California. i have the contact phone number of the guy i bought it from in Wisconsin, He can tell who ever the whole story in detail.This engine is standard bore, and has very little ridge and nice cylinders.original pistons,Original paint, was never apart, I removed oil pan to see the inside crank and rods.everything inside looks nice. The block has some thing written in yellow on the engine backside and right above that on the topside (covered in grime).There is also a green dot painted on the front opposite where the csx2019 is stamped. The rods look like they are not the later hipo 289 hipo rods, the 260 cobra\'s came with standard 260\'s and \"some\" with early performance inners I was told. I can not tell if these inners are performance?, the crank does have some interesting markings in the same spot as a 289 hipo would have a brinell stamping or pollished off area.the rods have the c3 on one side and a different casting letters on top of each other, maybe its foundry logo?. the cam was a 500 plus lift, I was told by the guy I bought it from, he said he measured it and sold it along with the heads that were hipo heads 25+ years ago.balancer ?? gone. The pistons are stock 260 pistons. \"again standard original bores\" remember these did not have the 289 hipo parts in them, but some did have even a two barral carb I read,and some had early performance parts that were rare. This could be a rare short block! for a very interesting and famous cobra !. Would be an interesting piece of shelby history to keep or use for a cobra missing its original 260 ? or kit cobra, tiger and stand out from all the others !. \"remember when you offer its not to come out here and just look at this and see if you want it, \"if you offer wins your the owner and you bought it.
