This violin is fully lined and blocked with upper and lower blocks. There are no cracks any where that I can detect although the beautiful curly maple back is cleatedall the way inside every 2.5 inches. I look at violins every day. There is no evidence of a crack on the back as you can tell from the photos. I haveheard ofmakers that do the cleats as a precaution. At any case this is a very well made violin with no cracks. Rosewood pegs with ebony fingerboard tail piece saddle and chin rest. The end pin looks to be ivory, bone, or plastic. The only minor damage is on the back bass lower corner. It looks as if some one decided to grind a little off this area. Didn\'t do any damage to how it plays or sounds. The sound is powerful and projects very well. Suitable for any player from intermediate to professional. Nice curly maple back sides, less curly neck and beautiful scroll. The neck angle is excellent. Nice purfling and f-holes. Original Aubert bridge made in France.

The sound post is standing, however sometimes the sound post will fall during shipping due to loose strings and the bridge being lowered. This is no reason for return. offer with confidence.
