Description - Beautiful piece that is hand forged
- Blade has no maker\'s mark
- Marks from forging are clear
- Curve of handle helps balance blade during swing
- Questions of ax is rough but neither pitted nor split/broken
- Initials \"E B\" carved into handle (see photo image 4)
- Very heavy that cut due to its own weight--handle is solidly in place(see photo 3)
- Beautiful curves and lines
- Two holes at handle throat present with very minor crack about 1\" long-
- Wood chopped at handle next to socket (see photo image 6)
- Highly desirable for both the appearance and condition as well as age
