This is a splendid vintage bronze lamp from the late 19th century. The lamp features a young woman with a cherub. The woman stands and the cherub hovers near her ear, They are near a stylized head fountain with a shell shape. The light in the fountain well highlights the projected head which has a bronze water spray from its mouth. The light socket is for a very small bulb. There is a lot of wear on the wiring, which is original to the lamp, and it should not be used.
The lamp is signed Ch Perie? and has a coin insert that reads - Fabrication de France, made in Paris France.
The lamp is 22" tall, 10" wide and 6 1/2" deep
Great condition - however one wing is missing on the cherub.
