Racetrack wasopenedJuly 7, 1942 and closed on May 3, 2001.
This sign was purchased from a dealer who acquired several GSP items when it was closed in 2001.On the back you will see the initials GSP for the park.
Wording on this sign indicates it was directing park visitorshow to exit a building whenan escalator was being repaired, told them to use the passenger elevator or stairs. At the bottom is a note that \"Nightly after the 8th raceescalator will be running down to C.H. lobby.\"
Condition as shown in the photos with this listing. Sign has some age and use, rub and scuff, folds and bump ups ofcovering at places along edges, light soiling. Back has the same including the green ink for GSP. Please view photos to be sure you are ok with all before buying. It is pre-owned, being sold \"as is\" as was found.
