Hello, I am selling my beloved E15 with all of the attachments I have acquired over the years. I have used this machine to mow several acres of tall grass, and it handles thistle without flinching (yes you may need to back over it :)
The battery system has been converted to accept standard deep cycles, and I have usually charged them out of the tractor. So, I am not certain how well the onboard charger works, but it does hum when engaged. I have not used it for a few years, so the batteries are not likely to hold a charge well, but I have several Optima yellow tops I can attempt to recharge if you are interested in taking a few batteries as well.
The motor controller is the original, and I did have to replace the reverse relay at some point (be careful switching back and forth between FWD and REV very quickly (there\'s a capacitor in there for surge suppression too). From what I remember, the contacts on the board needed cleaning because the board checks out (got a new board) but high speed was a bit intermittent.
The manual is included which has all of the schematics, so debugging is not too bad if you are an old schooler electronic tech-type :) I considered getting a motor controller (they make them for the elec-trak) as many have done to make it 100% reliable... but my wife now insists we clean out our storage! (we moved off the acreage).
ALSO INCLUDED: a sweet chainsaw (works great), welder (from Harold Zimmerman but have not ever really used it, and a dump cart (from Northern Tool).
Local pickup is great, but I can help with shipping. Also, if you are nearby, I can trailer the package to your door (for a reasonable addition).
