German linen grain sack w/large German script stenciling & implements 1930: $135.00
Great German farmer\'s linen grain sack with large, bold stenciling in early German script with narrow center indigo and white stripe. Stenciling begins with No. 24, Karl Schmid, Hs. No. 15, Buch (town), with farming implements encircled with a blessing for the farmer and the year 1930. Sack is unusual because there is only one side seam, so this sack will open to double the width, not double the length. Measures 18 3/4 inches wide and 49 3/4\" long (36 1/2 inches wide when opened). Sack is nice and clean. I\'ve washed it for you; it just needs to be pressed. Area of darning on the back of the sack (see last photo) and two tiny holes on front (see photo 5).
