I have a Restored Gordon-Style letterpress printing press for sale. It was taken apart and the paint was taken down to the metal and fully restored. The chase is 8x12 and it has BRAND NEW rollers that still have the paper on them and have never been used.I have some extras as well:
- three fonts (can\'t remember which ones, think they are 12pt, 15pt and 18pt) in drawers (CA job cases)
- two galley trays
- some wood and metal furniture
- some spacing and slugs
- some quoins
- a marble imposing stone approx 18\"x20\"
- rolling plywood type case that fits 10 drawersIssues:
- the catch on the ink disk needs to be filed down. It has been worn down and doesn\'t catch the disc to turn it.
- the fly wheel starts to come out when the machine is in operation but maybe a shim in the pin would help to keep it in place. This machine was put back together by Carl Montford who let me know that it was in really great shape for its age. Before I owned it it was in a museum and was not used for about 40 years. You will need to make arrangements to move the press. It\'s in a studio that\'s ground level and it\'s easy to back up a truck near the door. Please let me know if you have any questions and I\'m considering offers so let me know.
