For sale, an antique 5\" French mignonette celluloid lady doll wearing her original French Regional costume. She is wearing a lovely felt hat with gold braided trim, a red silk gold embroidered trim and white French lace ruffle around the edge. She has a full mohair wig under the hat which is still in original set. She has brown painted brows, small painted lashes, blue eyes, hi color blush on cheeks and red lips. Face paint is excellent. there is a light lip rub but very hard to see because she is so tiny. She is jointed at the shoulders and hips.Around her neck is a pale green ribbon of rayon. The dress is long sleeved dark red velvet with matching lace trim on he sleeves. She wears a gold cross around her neck which has a tiny rhinestone at the top and has 4 metal buttons on the bodice with tiny rhinestones. The bodice and sleeves are velvet and the front of the dress is as well. At the edge of this velvet on the front of the dress is a trim of black cotton french lace. Very tiny and delicate. The skirt is floor length, full, green felt and has an edging of cotton embroidered trim in green, gold and red. The skirt as a white tag which feels like a silk rayon blend with Poupees Hermine Paris printed in red letters. On the front of the skirt is a tiny little tag which reads Diane Maria, I think. Very tiny and difficult to read. Some letters are light. She wears white cotton pantaloons with tiny white lace trim. Her shoes and socks are painted on, black shoes-white socks. The celluloid is great the dress is great, I do not see any damage. There are no holes in the felt or tears. I can not see any damage. She is a sweet little French Mignonette lady doll and she would be lovely in an antique French doll house. Her condition is wonderful and she is very pretty.
