Fits many older Heatilator and Heat-n-glo fireplaces. This is used on many gas logs also.

This new gas valve replaces these other Part Numbers:7000MVRB-4-LC-LP, 7000-MVRB-5-LC, 7000MVRB-5-lC-lP, 710-503, 7000MVRB-5-LC-LP, 7000MVRB-4-LC, 758-716-441, 7000MVRB-5-LC, 7000MVRB-SLC, CAR710503.
Specifications: 250 MV to 500 MV, uses standard pilot tubing, ambient temperature -40 degress to 175 degrees F., 1/2\" PSI max inlet pressure, output range natural gas 40,000 to 70,000 BTU, propane 64,000 to 112,000 BTU.
This is a millivolt valve.This uses a thermopile to control the pilot and main valve. There is no thermocouple for this valve. Pilot is controlled by the thermopile also.
Has 1/2\" female pipe thread inlet connection. Comes with a 3/8\" adapter to downsize the inlet. It has 3/8 female pipe thread outlet connections.
This valve has 2 inlet, and 2 outlet ports to allow for different applications. There are 2 plugs to plug the extra ports.
You can vary hi - lo flame height.
Millivolt valves can be controlled by a switch, remote control, or thermostat.

Most people replace the fireplace valve for one of two reasons: first - the pilot light will not stay on when you release the pilot knob, and second - the valve will not turn the main burner on when the switch is engaged. Before you replace your valve, make sure you do the following things. Clean and blow out the pilot flame assembly so that it has a really strong flame heating the thermopile. Change the thermopile if the pilot will not stay lit, even after holding it for several minutes. Also change it if the valve will not open and ignite the main burner. Rule out bad wiring or control device (switch, remote control, thermostat) by bypassing the device. To bypass, touch a small jumper wire to the TH and THTP terminals on the valve. This will open the valve and allow the main burner to ignite. Only replace the valve when everything else has been tried.
