as such, some aged darker areas at certain points around outer rim, and the random teensy scratch (if one hunts up-close)
So, very gently aged,
any scant form of wear due to age and not abuse.
Original Patina in lovely condition.

Loop (very intact) molded into backside for a Wire from which to hang.
~~Backside is brown too, (and blackish in areas) which is what confuses me...I can\'t tell whether this is actually bronze, or a very fine rust color to Iron...
The back feels like it was almost sandblasted, not quite as smooth as the front, yet smooth enough that I just can\'t figure the metal out, apologies!
There is evidence of smoke blackening from early use to the back.
An early piece,
No numbers indented from molding, no maker\'s mark of any kind.
Have never found another remotely like it,
and am unsure of origin, American or French.
....(this has been attributed to French in origin by a longtime local antique firearms, British weaponry & metals dealer friend of mine, who tells me this super nice piece is either French or American, and then states \"probably French\") and, unfortunately I forgot to ask him of the metal, as he was just o excited to see the piece, so I shall have to inquire again~
