Hooker Electric, Level-Wind and Digital Counter on Shimano Tiagra 80 Wide

The Shimano Tiagra 80 wide configuration is the most versatile and widely used reel configuration in the market for daytime swordfishing, dredge pulling for billfish and deep-dropping for bottom dwellers.

The unit is able to pull line up to 500 ft/per minute at full full speed. You have full control of the speed with its (potenciometer) speed-control nob (like the volume on a stereo). In addition, it comes with a 100 ft-range 2-button remote control for hands-free operation. Button (A) for half speed and button (B) for full speed.

The unit also includes the custom made level-wind and digital counter units for exceptional line lay and deep drop accuracy (the reel also fully loaded with 80lb braid).

The set-up is in great condition as it was bought new from Hooker Electric in the US ($5,200!) in May 2014 and has only been used once for a 2 week trip in the Florida Keys. We caught several broad billed swordfish and it performed above and beyond expectations, you could literally tow a car with it as it has so much torque!
