This is a very rare Sterling Silver Handmade correction bit made by renowned Weatherford Texas bitmaker Jim Edwards. Jim Edwards is arguably one of the greatest bit makers in the world, his Sterling Silver engraved bits start at $1,100 and go up from there. This is an unused old stock bit that has some light rust spots and light wear to the black on the inside of the shanks. There is also some faint rusting on the sweet iron correction moutpiece. This bit features Jim Edwards\' ball hinge correction mouthpiece and his iconic flat shanks. The Sterling Overlay features absolutely gorgeous quality engraving and this bit will look equally good in the the Reining or Western Pleasure pen. The engraved makers mark \"EDWARDS\" is on the inside left cheek.
This bit features a loose stainless black steel cheek that measures 6-1/2 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a 2.6 to 1 leverage ratio. The 1-1/2 inch tall AQHA legal correction mouthpiece is 5 inches wide by 1/2 inch diameter sweet iron mouthpiece. The bit weighs 15 ounces.. The close up photos show the makers mark above on the inside of the left shank. Please look at the close-up photos with \'s magnifying feature for full detail. This bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
