The 1503 is well suited for all-around players and is perfect for solo and orchestral work. This trumpet features a .460-inch bore with a #25-O mouthpipe and matching #72 taper bell for a dark, powerful sound. This trumpet also featues Monel valves with metal valve guides for excellent action.The leadpipe is comparable to Bach\'s 25-O, although I personally prefer Kanstul\'s 25-O over Bach\'s. The sound is just sweeter to me, but that is entirely subjective. This horn is now consider \"special order\" from Kanstul, which is undergoing some serious personnel changes with Zig essentially retiring (from my understanding). To get this horn today, you\'d have to order a 1504 and REQUEST a 25-O pipe, making it a custom order. So, unless you get it in raw brass, I doubt you could return it.No case or mouthpiece, however, I will pay shipping, handling, and insurance.
