This GS-40 features afinely crafted wood action with ABS-Styran black jacks for lasting durabilityand stability. The hammers are made out of natural, hard pressed felt onlightweight mahogany moldings. (Much like the hammers we prefer for our premiumrestored Steinways.) Our piano technicians have completed extensive action andtone regulation (voicing) to bring out the very best from this piano.
Thebelly of the piano consists of a solid clear spruce soundboard, a multi-griplaminated pinblock, solid brass agraffes, and a V-Pro cast iron plate. Theinterior of the piano has been cleaned and prepped to bring it back to like newcondition. This GS-40 Grand Piano produces a warm, yet clear quality of tonethat is very pleasing to the ear.
Enclosedin a clean, modern cabinet design with rich brass hardware this piano is a fineaddition to any setting. The cabinet features a beveled lid edge, built inbrass lid locks and a multi position lid prop system. Our piano refinishershave spent many hours cleaning and polishing the polyester ebony finish toensure a like new look. This piano was kept in a stable home environment all ofits life and it is obvious that it was well cared for and ‘babied.’
