This is one sweet Kubota Grand L3940 Diesel Tractor, super low hours and in great condition. Very hard to find these Kubota 40 series with low hours and the last series Kubota made before going to the tier 4 emission engines. Quality Quality Quality. Not sure I can say that about the new tier 4 engines in any of the new compact tractors.
Kubota makes two L series tractors, the standard L series and the Grand L series. Most times if you go to price a new Kubota they will never show you the Grand L series because it is a much higher price tractor but it is there deluxe tractor and a totally different tractor then the standard L series. The Grand L series has tilt steering wheel, deluxe seat, better operator platform, (bigger and more roomy), better hyd, much nicer hydro trans with the hi - low shift on the go, completly different power train, bigger tires and wheels, uses a heavier duty loader with more lifting power and more lifting height, also uses a bigger and tougher Kubota frame mount backhoe with more reach and digging depth.
This Kubota Grand L3940 has a hydro trans which makes it a very easy tractor to operate. The hydro has three ranges to work in. Then the 40 series Kubota\'s also have a Hi-Low you can shift on the go to make the hydro even nicer to use. Great for doing dirt work you can shift into low to dig into a pile or tough jobs then shift into Hi to get more ground speed to move material faster. Also with the single lever loader control and power steering these are great easy to use tractors.
These higher HP compact tractors are hard to find to begin with because very few home owners spent the extra for the Grand models and then these tractors over 30 hp were very expensive new. Then if you find one most of time they were comercialy used and abused. And then the next issue will be most dealers installed a three point hitch backhoe for the home owner because they were cheeper. This Kubota L3940 has been home owner used and is equiped the right way, the right loader with quick attach bucket, the right Kubota BH90 frame mounted quick attach backhoe. A frame mount Kubota Bh90 backhoe is very easy off and on. You let the backhoe do the work and lift itself off and back on the tractor. No lifting and prying. Much easier then attaching a three point backhoe.
Do some home work and you will see that this is a great package and just the last of the quality Kubota Grand L series tractors. Just go price a 39 HP tractor loader, even a economy model JD, Kubota or New Holland will be around the same price as this package. Then if you price the deluxe model in a Kubota or JD you will really see the deal this is. This Kubota BH90 was almost $9000 jus for the backhoe.
I am in the farm and construction equipment business for almost 40 years and look at my feed back, not claiming to be a expert but try to educate my customers to know what they are buying. And there is a big difference between models and different competitors.
