This is a large old wooden pulley or block and tackle. It was made by Boston and Lockport and has its original tag. This antique pulley has a large cast iron hook. It is a double pulley with two wheels, and the wheels are also cast iron. The bracket on the end is steel. The wood shows some wear. Ithas a rustic look, with areas ofold paint and some splits. It is about 20 inches long including the hook. The wooden block is 8 inches long by 6 inches wide by 5 3/4 inches tall. The wheels are about 1 1/8 inch wide. This is a heavy piece, weighing about 13 pounds without packing material.
