The pictures do not do this beautiful fabric justice but I will try to describe. It was made from a worn once, never washed prom dress from the 50\'s era. The nylon over-dress is made of a lavender color with a completely pleated bodice. The lining, from the original dress, is a baby blue color and the two colors combined (often found in that era) makes this gorgeous color \"Lavender Blue\"
I have used the Patti Playpal pattern and my doll for a perfect fit. As shown in the \"Art of Patti Playpal\" book I made it with embroidered florals at the waistto hold the satin sashes, made puff sleeves and lace trimmed Peter pan collar. The extremely full skirt also has the blue taffeta lining as well as thepanties. To accent the fullness and so it can be worn with other dresses I have made the buckram \"poof\" slip topped with a double lace ruffle.
The backfastens with three pearl buttons and the Satin sash and a pin on hair-bow is included
