This is a great example of the Lionel 390E 2-4-2 Loco & Tender by MTH and comes with the ORIGINAL BOX. The box is the maroon color Lionel Classics number 6-13100. This unit was first produced from 1929-1931, disappeared for one year, and then returned in 1933. This particular unit was re-introduced by MTH in 2001 and it stands proud with all of its beauty and style as it did 85 years ago. It runs great with a whistle inside the tender. It has no dents, dings, or missing parts or pieces. It comes with two flags on the front of the boiler adjacent to the bell. It is painted black and has brass and copper trim which adorns the loco and tender. The loco wheels are painted red spokes and the tender has nickel plated journals. Some of the 390E units were painted different colors and some striped in orange, but none of the variations seem to affect the value or price. The loco & tender are in excellent overall condition!!!
