This is one of the most Rare and Desirable tube crossovers available for home or studio use.
Regarding the condition of the crossover: this is NOT a garage queen pristine example. It has some cosmetic issues such as scratches on the painted top as evident in the pictures.. ALPS pots work great. This is a really nice piece of high end audio gear! I am making these disclosures in the interest of your satisfaction.If you are looking for an original piece of audiophile history that works as it should and has been used but not abused, then this is it.This is a three way unit with three circuit boards for low, mid, and high frequency bands plus a circuit board for the power supply.12 and 6 DB crossover slopes selectable on front panel. There is a large range of crossover frequencies to be chosen from. The unit works with small printed plug in circuit board modules inserted into the mainboards.One extra set of crossover cards is included. The crossover frequencies can be set by the user by simply swapping the capacitors on the module boards. The changing of the frequencies is simple if you are handy with a soldering iron. It also includes frequency shift adjustment, which allows shifting frequency crossover point and slope of crossover in decibels. This is a very important in adjusting loudspeaker driver overlaps. Included in the sale is the original instruction manual.. The instructions for using and modifying the crossover are well written and very clearly spelled out. No fuss, no confusing Japanese text to wrestle with. A myriad of possible settings for altering crossover slope and tweaking of frequencies are available \"on the fly\" using the switches and knobs on the front panel. This is by far one of the most versatile analog crossovers ever produced. In this digital age if you area tube-oholic like me you will appreciate this crossover.
