Madame Alexander Wendy Ann Compo Doll Vintage 1930s Original Barrettes Wig Tag:
$199.99

Here is lovely 18 inch Wendy Ann, from the 1930s or 1940s by Madame Alexander, restored by me as a one of a kind Fairy Princess. Wendy Ann is marked MME Alexander on the back of her head, mostly under her wig, though. To find out more about this restoration, please visit my blog: Ann\'s human hair wig is all original, with its golden barrettes and braided crown, even the original pins! I did gently clean it and set the ends on rollers to refresh the curls.I treated Wendy Ann\'s body for all over crazing and cracks under her eyes. Her eyelashes and small spots on her body had to be repainted but all other blushing, eyeshadow, and paint is original. Her eyes were shattered, so I repaired them as shown in my blog. One eye has a few broken eyelashes, but it is at the same place where the Wendy Ann eyelashes taper off so it isn\'t too noticeable.I dressed Wendy Ann as a Fairy Princess. Her undergown is a tagged Madame dress from the 1990s. It is in mint condition. I made her cross-woven overgown and hand beaded it all over. That piece alone took me two full days of work! Then I made a crown and attached a vintage chiffon scarf from the 1950s as a veil. I made new pantaloons from a vintage satin wedding gown. I made Wendy Ann\'s necklace, which stretches to fit over her hair, from handmade glass beads and a 1950s pendant. I gave Wendy Ann vintage replacement shoes and made her a new crystal ball from glass and wire.Wendy Ann will make a stunning doll for your collection. I created her costume through draping; there is no pattern, so she is truly a unique creation. There is no other Wendy Ann exactly like this in the world. I\'ve tagged her with my own signed tag and given her a hairnet so she looks nice for gifting.I have lots of great stuff in my store so please check my other listings.
