From the first strum across the strings you\'ll be glad you bought it; it has great volume but a sweet acoustic voice as well. This is a beautiful 1972 Martin D12-20 vintage 12 string, 12 fret guitar. Serial No 305604. All solid woods: mahogany back and sides, spruce top, rosewood fretboard and bridge. The 12 fret neck is straight and has been professionally re-set with action at 3/32\" and plays like a dream. New Stew-Mac Vintage tuners were installed to replace the worn-out originals-they are a vast improvement for staying in tune. The Pick guard was replaced as the original was beginning to curl. A small crack under the pickguard was professionally repaired. It is structurally sound with no issues. A JLD Bridge Doctor was installed to stabilize the top and it actually improved the sound. This vintage 12er has been played very little and has virtually no fret wear. It does have a few dings but nothing serious. It comes with the original Martin blue hard shell case.
