It certainly needs a new flint.The wind up motor works, the Gunner pops up, the machine gunsound is loud.The wheels turnand the tank runs on the floor and makes turns as intended. This toy comeswith anew winding key.The pop-up gunner is in great shape, with bright colors.
The original action of of this toy was to run an eccentric pattern of triangles, created by the gimbaledfront wheel. The Gunner would pop up and fire at each turn. A machine gun sound accompanied hisappearance. Also the sparking cannon fired along in concert. Pretty stunning for a springwound toy!It was one of the MARX CO. mostsuccessful products, with many variations over the years.I am leaving any clean-up to the buyer. It is being sold as I found it on my dads shelf.It was dusted offa little but needs a some work.There is virtually no rust or corrosion.
The Tank is 10\" long, 4\" wide and 5\" tall. and is is made of heavygauge pressed tinned steelwith a classic MARX LithoPrinted finish. Very little play wear. The tank body is clean with almostnopaint loss or scratches. A verygood to excellent version of this Famous MARX toy.
