MID-CENTURY DECOR, LARGE, HEAVY POTTERY HEAD VASE ALMOST TEN INCHES HIGH. A \'STATEMENT-MAKING\' PIECE. TYPICAL MID 1940\'S TO EARLY 1950\'S IN THEME AND COLOR. VERY NICE APPEARANCE, VERY NICE CONDITION - THERE ARE NO CHIPS OR CRACKS, NO NICKS OR HAIRLINES, NO REPAIRS. THERE IS ALL OVER TINY CRAZING, NOT UNCOMMON ON OLDER PIECES SUCH AS THIS. THERE IS DISCOLORATION TO THE CRAZING AROUND THE BASE, LOOKS LIKE A SHADOW. IN MY OPINION NOTHING IS SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH TO DETRACT FROM THE OVER ALL STUNNING APPEARANCE. INSIDE HAS NO CALCIUM DEPOSITS. NOT MARKED BUT WE BELIEVE THIS ITEM WAS MADE BY AMERICAN BISQUE, AN AMERICAN POTTERY COMPANY. SIZE ABT. 9-1/2\" HIGH, BASE ABT. 4-1/2\" X 8\".
