Up for sale is a Midland 70-1344 vhf 50w radio, programmed and working on two meters. These radios are absolutely built like tanks. True Japanese built, commercial quality radios. You just cannot find this level of quality in the Chinese made amateur gear.
These are mobile radios, however these really shine as base rigs. The use of an external speaker is required and they have the large deluxe display so there is no internal speaker (these sit beautifully on a desk or shelf as there is no bottom speaker to block). Just about any old speaker that you have laying around will work but the sound quality from these radios is outstanding with an old bookshelf or center channel speaker.
These radios have 320 channel memories and will come programmed in 4 different banks. You will receive all the standard simplex frequencies in one memory bank, and all standard 600 khz repeater splits programmed in 145, 146, and 147 memory banks. They also have built in tone boards and I will program up to 25 tones on your provided frequencies included in the purchase price if you so desire or they can ship with just the frequencies. These radios are computer programmable only so once they are programmed, they cannot be messed up via front keys. There are so many memories on these radios that you essentially get every possible standard voice frequency and repeater split in memory!
You will receive the programmed radio and a microphone, original mobile mounting bracket, 8 feet of jsc us made zip cord with power pole connectors installed, one pigtailed wiring connector with power pole connectors installed, and one inline fuse holder.
