Offered today, is probably, the cleanest horn, of this vintage, you\'re ever likely to find ! Everything, here is original, and almost, like new ! The LP 11, with serial number, 210801,dates this old \" Pea Shooter \", to about, 1927 ! There is only the slightest wear to the silver finish, where contact was made, on the third valve assembly. A little slight wear, on some high spots, that might show, in fotos .Scrutinizing this old gem, I find two very tiny dings, on the crook, from the third valve to the key selector switch . All valves, and slides, and key selector, work well, and are in great condition ! There are a few small scratches, on the gold washed bell, but nothing else, is noticeable.
The contrasting Gold work, on the Bell, and it\'s engraving, really makes this one stand out !
The lead-pipe is great, with absolutely, no tarnish, or damage, ever !I don\'t have a micrometer, to measure the bore, but it\'s just slightly smaller, than my \'42 Committee #2 bore. (probably small to medium).
Included with the horn, is the original case, with all three working latches !! Even the handle, is original, but very worn, and cracked. There is also an original Lyre, and a very unusual adapter, for use of a cornet mouthpiece, which was also, original. I\'m also, including the two like-new, original finish mouthpieces, that were with the horn, when I found it, over twenty years ago ...Buescher True Tone 6CB, and an HN White 32 Equa True !!!
With 12 other horns, I currently play, and a few Tax Bills due, I\'m forced to offer this old gem, to a new perspective owner !!!
Thanks for looking !!!
