This massive 32 pound tailhook point was designed to stop the awesome F-4 Phantom aircraft on an aircraft carrier.If you have flown or crewed the “Rhino”/\"St. Louis Slugger\" this is your opportunity to own a piece of its history.
Stored in a warehouse and packaged in the original box since its manufacture in 1985. Inside the box, the hook point is wrapped in a greaseproof, waterproof, flexible barrier material per Mil Spec Mil-B-121E.This tailhook point is brand new from the manufacturer. The hook point travel history includes being sent from the manufacturer’s plant in Warsaw, IN to the NavalSupply Center, North Island, San Diego.From there it is likely that the hook point ended up at Naval Air Station, Cubi Point,Philippines (the primary maintenance, repair and supply center for carrier-based aircraft of the Seventh Fleet) and then later shipped back to the states where it was warehoused before being surplused.You will NOT be disappointed in this hook point. Better than \"Museum Quality\". This tailhook point is MINT.
