new RSR \" Vintage Wedgie \" rubber tenor sax mouthpiece #7 .100\" Vandoren patch:
$100.00

Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed codeRSR \" Vintage Wedgie \" is a Link type chamber tenor mouthpiece in a high sulfur pure hard rubber. It has a wedge added to increase projection. The wedge is set back from the tip so as to minimize the increase in brightness. As such is is very close to the classic Link sound with substantial increase in volume. It has a perfect facing of .100\" equal to a Link 7, medium lay. It can be described as a modern make based on the vintage Link geometry. The table is flat, rails are even and tip rail is flat, the tip matches a Java or Rico reed. Very precise facing, this makes for a mpc that will move through the music well. Response, as we like to say. The facing controls how well the piece will play and how well it will work with the reeds. Good facing = good reeds. With a good facing you can get up to altissimo and still subtone. The chamber effects the sound mostly and response as well. This is a moderate design in that the baffle is not too radical. So it tunes easily and has an even temperament throughout the registers. It will make a broad, robust traditional jazz tone. Two weeks trial time. There will be a patch on the insert, please leave it there until finished testing to prevent scratching.
