Many, MANY months were spent developing this prop so that you can have the most accurate \"First Blade\" possible. This prop is extremely durable, lightweight, and built to withstand any cosplay and comic-con adventure. This prop can take plenty of abuse - this is NOT a thin piece of plastic.

I have attempted to capture the rugged and aged look of a blade that has literally been around since the dawn of man - and murder......a blade that has been to hell and back. I have also worked very hard to make sure you have the most recent version of the First Blade possible.
Over the course of Season 9 and into season 10, the First Blade prop was modified several times by the prop department of \"Supernatural\". As the prominence of the First Blade in the story arc increased, so did the need for more close-ups and more interaction with the actors. Many parts of the prop evolved; the First Blade\'s length increased and style became more defined, intricate details and textures were added, the hilt/handle leather pattern changed, the blade colors were altered and subtle tribal markings were added. As a result, I am constantly refining my prototype.
I feel that I offer the most recent design of the \"First Blade\". I have even built in a little room in the design for more alterations \"if\" the prop guys at SPN decide to change it further. Resin is a great medium to work with - it is sandable and cuts very easy with an x-acto knife. If the shape of a tooth or hilt changes a bit or you feel an alteration is in order, then do not fear - resin is easy to work with you can make any changes you feel are needed. And if you need any advice, I am just a message away.
The unfinished First Blade is cast in an off-white resin and is about 19 inches long. This is a resin kit prop and will require some easy finishing touches; a bit of wood putty for any small air bubbles, some minor sanding, and painting. All supplies needed can be found at your local store. I will include easy to follow instructions on how I finished mine. I have included a picture in the listing of how I painted my personal \"First Blade\". Many painting options are possible.
